Happy Wednesday Trendsday!

Omg yesterday I got sooo sick and was out of commission the whole day! I went to the doctor but nothing was wrong thankfully, and I just slept all day. I’m feeling better now though thank goodness!! Especially because I have a fun weekend trip planned!

Anyway, today I was running errands in Soho and passed by the Linda Farrow store. I def want to invest in a pair of Linda Farrow sunglasses sometime in my near future, but it inspired me to round up all my fave sunnies I’ll be wearing throughout the summer!

Can you tell I’m a fan of rose colored sunglasses? Haha they just pair really well with someone who has a fair complexion, but I definitely still love my dark sunnies like those black aviators!

See you Friday :)

Tee: Old Navy / Pants: Reformation (similar here & here) / Sandals: Steve Madden / Sunglasses: J. Crew / Bag: Cult Gaia

Happy Monday!

So I made an impulsive splurge yesterday on some shoes I have been obsessed with for a while. I had seen an amazing photo of these blush velvet Aquazurra sandals on Pinterest a while back and did some pretty extensive research trying to find them! Haha so when I got my regular email from Intermix I was so excited to see them in their collection of new arrivals! I thought about it for a few days then when I was running around yesterday I was near an Intermix so I thought I’d go in and see them in person. After trying them on I was hooked and knew it would be a worth while splurge! I got the last size seven and wore them to the movies with my boyfriend that night. I was sad it was rainy all day today because I couldn’t wear them again! Haha

It’s always nerve-wracking to splurge big time on anything especially shoes!! But I put myself in Carrie Bradshaw’s shoes (literally) and went for it knowing I could always return them if I felt buyer’s remorse. As long as you feel confident in your love for the piece and are in a good place financially I would say go for it. My biggest guideline though is remembering to think, will I still be wearing these shoes or this bag in 5 or 10 years? If you feel you will, treat yourself!

Something similar happened with these pants – that email marketing really gets me! Haha but I also get emails from Reformation and literally bought these pants right away after seeing them. They’re everything I love! High-waisted, blue and white stripes, whimsical, and fashion-forward. I tried them on with a few different tops, but since the waist is so high I had to wear something really fitted on top; it just looked bad if the top was even slightly baggy. So I literally bought a fitted tee for these pants. It was cheap so I didn’t think twice and I’ve actually worn the tee a few times since! Cannotttt wait to wear both pieces the rest of the summer.

See you Wednesday!

Top: Aerie (similar here & here) / Denim: GRLFRND / Booties: DSW / Bag: Saint Laurent / Sunglasses: Le Specs

Happy Monday!!

It’s the beginning of a crazy week here in NYC! I am graduating from NYU on Tuesday and couldn’t be more excited. A bunch of my family is flying in the next couple of days so I can’t wait to see everyone!

I’ve worn these jeans in a few blog posts now and obviously I am obsessed with them. I always get compliments on them. They are definitely the most expensive pair of jeans I own but honestly I would buy more pairs. The quality is just so good and they’re so flattering so I will definitely be on the hunt for another pair of GRLFRND denim soon!

Alsooooo maybe I was just unaware haha but Aerie has some super cute and affordable things!! So good for basics and more bohemian pieces. Def worth checking out! Plus they always have some pretty good sales.

See you Wednesday!!

Top: Sundress / Denim: Paige / Booties: Stuart Weitzman / Bag: Saint Laurent / Sunglasses: Dior

Happy Monday!

I feel like I always start out my posts by complaining about the weather hahaha but it has been so annoying lately! It has literally felt like winter in the city the last week – cold and rainy and windy. Such a struggle! lol

Anyway, you may remember I bought this dress for my Hawaii trip back in March. It was pretty expensive so I knew when I bought it that I would have to use it for more than just laying by the pool. I love it with some skinny jeans its so flowy and has such great movement. Definitely its a bit hard to style because it is so flowy! To avoid drowning in this dress (or top in this case) off-set it with some form fitting pieces.

Can’t wait to keep wearing this when it gets warmer! Hopefully soon! haha

See you Wednesday :)

Jacket: Mother / Shirtdress: Tobi / Sandals: Guess (similar here & here) / Bag: Saint Laurent / Sunglasses: Le Specs

Happy Friday!

Yay almost the weekend!! It has been a downpourrrr in NYC today though so we’ll see about those weekend plans haha.

I’ve always been a fan of the shirtdress, mostly because you can wear it as a shirt and a dress haha and this one from is soooo easy to throw on and instantly look super cute. Since it’s been pretty chilly in nyc lately I’ve been finding myself putting it on with jeans and a cute jacket, which is another look I love: long tops! Definitely with skinny jeans or leggings, and if you’re not super tall, some sort of lifted shoe. Pieces that are long on your body can be a bit unflattering if you are on the shorter side, but heels are always flattering no matter what! Thats the motto.

See you on Monday! :)

Happy Wednesday!

I use Pinterest all the time haha anything I need inspo for or am unsure about, Pinterest is my savior. I will literally type in ‘navy blazer’ and see how other people styled their navy blazers so I can get inspo for how to style mine!

What I’m currently pinning though says a lot haha. I’m planning a big trip in September and that has been my main focus on Pinterest lately! I also have a few weddings coming up so I am searching a ton for some gowns to wear! I love this one here. Also, as graduation is coming up I need to get my house together haha so I am searching for some kitchen decor inspo! In our kitchen we have open shelving. Not all the shelves but a few cabinets and honestly since we moved in I haven’t figured out how to decorate them! I gave up for a time and we just put whatever up there haha but this next week I am focusing on getting it done for real this time! So I’ve been pinning some open shelving concept decor that I can hopefully emulate!

Anyway, if you haven’t followed me on Pinterest yet you should! I’m an avid pinner lol.

See you Friday!

Alsoooo below are some faves I’m eyeing this week

Tee: Club Monaco / Culottes: Tobi / Booties: DSW / Sunglasses: Le Specs / Bag: Saint Laurent

Happy Monday!

Omg I am soooo happy it is finally May!! I feel like April is always weirdly stressful haha.

When I worked at Club Monaco I would always make women try on culottes. I would seriously get the same response all the time, that they liked how the culottes looked on the mannequin, but didn’t think that they could pull it off themselves. Once they tried them on though their outlook completely changed. Every time. Culottes are too comfy and cute not to take advantage of them!

I love love these ones from Tobi. They’re so flattering and go with everything. Some tips for wearing culottes: try and wear a shoe with a heel to give yourself an elongated look so the pants don’t cut off your legs, wear something tighter on top to counterbalance the big flowy-ness of the pant, and try and keep your waist as slimmed as possible so the pants can be super flattering! def has some really cute tops and shoes to go with their culottes, plus they always have amazing deals on their site!

See you Wednesday :)

Top: C/MEO / Denim: Paige / Booties: Jeffrey Campbell / Sunglasses: Dior / Bag: Stella McCartney

Happy Saturday!

Its SO beautiful in NYC today! Except all I am doing is work and cleaning haha!

I hate when my house is messy it just makes me feel so unproductive haha. Anywayyyy I am obsessed with this top! I actually got asked where it was from by someone on the street when we were shooting this look haha!

C/MEO is an Australian brand I have been following for a while but never actually owned anything from. I saw this top though and I haaaad to have it. The straps are removable if you want to go strapless, and you can’t really tell in this photo but there are slits up the sides! Its a bit pricey but sooo worth it because the quality is amazing.

I’ll def be purchasing more from C/MEO in the future! Such cute stuff.

See you Monday for a fun one!

Top: Chicwish (similar here & here) / Denim: Mother / Sneakers: H&M / Sunglasses: Le Specs / Bag: Celiné (similar here & here)

Happy Monday!!

I flew home early this morning from Michigan after visiting my dad and baby sister! It was so nice to be in a small town haha and to drive. Its the little things! But its back to the grind on three hours of sleep. Two more weeks until graduation you guys.

Okaaaaay so I’ve been seeing these weird sites going around (I’m sure you have too) based in China (I think?) and they like steal photos of cute clothes from other outlets and sell versions on their website for like $8 or something really cheap. I’ve obviously been pretty skeptical of these even though some of the pieces they were selling looked so cute! It was only when I saw this top by a brand called Petersyn that was soooo similar to this top but it was more than $300! I had seen other bloggers tag this site, Chichwish in their posts and what they were wearing looked legit so I decided to take the plunge on this look alike top.

To my surprise it is pretty good quality! I’ve heard horror stories of clothes like smelling horrible and weird colors so I was very happy with what I got! The only thing is that the sizing was kind of off. The off the shoulder sleeve was sooooo tight on my arm I literally lost feeling after a few hours hahah so I decided to cut it! Once I did that it was definitely more wearable.

Another weird thing was that it took suuuuuper long to get to me. Like after three weeks of hearing literally nothing (I got a confirmation email so I knew they received my order, but no notice of shipping) I decided to email their customer service. Only after I emailed them did they ship it. Makes me wonder if I had never emailed them, would I not have gotten what I ordered?

Overall, I’ll probably order from them again if I see something I love. They’re too affordable not to, but if the shipping is weird again or something else happens, I may not in the future. But I definitely love this top :)

See you Wednesday!

Alsoooo I am leaving tomorrow morning for Michigan randomly to see my baby sister! So excited to see her and experience some small town life haha.
