Happy Monday!

So I made an impulsive splurge yesterday on some shoes I have been obsessed with for a while. I had seen an amazing photo of these blush velvet Aquazurra sandals on Pinterest a while back and did some pretty extensive research trying to find them! Haha so when I got my regular email from Intermix I was so excited to see them in their collection of new arrivals! I thought about it for a few days then when I was running around yesterday I was near an Intermix so I thought I’d go in and see them in person. After trying them on I was hooked and knew it would be a worth while splurge! I got the last size seven and wore them to the movies with my boyfriend that night. I was sad it was rainy all day today because I couldn’t wear them again! Haha

It’s always nerve-wracking to splurge big time on anything especially shoes!! But I put myself in Carrie Bradshaw’s shoes (literally) and went for it knowing I could always return them if I felt buyer’s remorse. As long as you feel confident in your love for the piece and are in a good place financially I would say go for it. My biggest guideline though is remembering to think, will I still be wearing these shoes or this bag in 5 or 10 years? If you feel you will, treat yourself!

Something similar happened with these pants – that email marketing really gets me! Haha but I also get emails from Reformation and literally bought these pants right away after seeing them. They’re everything I love! High-waisted, blue and white stripes, whimsical, and fashion-forward. I tried them on with a few different tops, but since the waist is so high I had to wear something really fitted on top; it just looked bad if the top was even slightly baggy. So I literally bought a fitted tee for these pants. It was cheap so I didn’t think twice and I’ve actually worn the tee a few times since! Cannotttt wait to wear both pieces the rest of the summer.

See you Wednesday!
